Job Description
- Prepares and delivers lectures and other classroom activities while adhering to the course curriculum framework.
- Continued Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Becomes familiar with and follows all college policies, with the policies governing interactions with colleagues, staff, administrators, and departments within the institution receiving urgent priority.
- Communicates with students, staff, instructors, and administrators in a professional manner.
- Provides timely and suitable feedback on all tasks
- Meets departmental deadlines for returning graded work.
- Keeps track of student attendance and grades (for financial aid considerations).
- Conducts a variety of suitable student performance evaluations 7. Notifies students of progress on a regular basis and assigns and submits grades by the announced deadlines
- Assists in the establishment of a safe and mutually respected learning environment.
- Prepares and submits incident reports for inappropriate student behaviour as specified by the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities Policy to the Dean of Student Services.
- Behaves in a professional and collegial manner.
- Handles/responds to student complaints/concerns, as well as student communications and enquiries, in a timely manner (usually within 12 days).
- Maintains a professional appearance as dictated by the discipline and/or College policy.
- Attends all required employee training sessions.
- Is familiar with and follows the FERPA requirements.
- Makes ADA accommodations when they are requested.
