Must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.

- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and use the wand in a complete range of motion, including overhead Excellent customer service skills and a pleasant manner
- Ability to adhere to TSA standards, processes, and procedures

Job Description
- At airport security checkpoints, x-ray machines, wands, and gloved pat-downs are used to screen passengers, personal belongings, and baggage.
- Check the validity of the passengers' boarding passes and identity cards.
- Passengers should be informed on how to prepare for screening (for example, by removing shoes, emptying pockets and removing certain items from bags to meet TSA requirements)
- As you and other agents evaluate who or what may require additional screening based on established industry, agency, and facility protocols, practise situational awareness, strong communication skills, and excellent judgement.
- Passengers should be informed about how to mail illegal products to themselves, or forbidden items should be confiscated.
- Even when dealing with irate passengers or other difficult situations, act with decency and respect.
- Verify the credentials of those entering restricted areas, and work closely with security to ensure that questionable or potentially hazardous people are never out of sight.
- When handling suspicious bags and parcels, call for assistance and follow the security team's and law enforcement officials' instructions.
